Brazil — Germany Green Hydrogen Corridor

The Trust Infrastructure
Green Hydrogen Needs
to Cross the Atlantic.

Brazil has the renewable energy. Europe has the demand. The bottleneck is certification and traceability. HidroVerde builds the end-to-end RFNBO-compliant infrastructure that makes Brazilian H₂ exportable — Hardware, Software, and Expertise.

01 — The Problem

Brazil Can Produce It.
Europe Cannot Buy It.

The global narrative focuses on production capacity and demand. Both exist. The real bottleneck is the layer in between: proof. The EU's Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO) regulation requires cryptographic, auditable evidence that imported hydrogen is genuinely green — from the solar panel to the port.

Without this infrastructure, Brazilian green hydrogen producers face an insurmountable barrier: their product is clean, but they cannot prove it in a way that European off-takers and regulators will accept.

EU mandates 100% RFNBO-compliant hydrogen imports by 2030
No existing Brazilian infrastructure for end-to-end traceability
German off-takers require certified proof before signing offtake agreements
Greenwashing risk blocks institutional investment in H₂ projects

RFNBO Compliance Gap

Without certification, H₂ cannot enter EU markets

02 — The Solution

End-to-End Trust Infrastructure.
Built for the Corridor.

HidroVerde is not a consultancy. We are the infrastructure layer that sits between Brazilian H₂ production and European market access — combining hardware, software, and regulatory expertise into a single, integrated service.

01

Hardware Layer

IoT Data Ingestion

Proprietary sensor infrastructure deployed at generation sites. Real-time measurement of energy inputs, electrolysis parameters, and production volumes — tamper-proof and audit-ready.

02

Software Layer

Traceability Platform

End-to-end digital ledger that records every step of the H₂ production chain. Generates RFNBO-compliant certificates accepted by European regulatory bodies and off-takers.

03

Audit & Expertise

On-Site Verification

Bilingual (PT/DE) audit team with deep knowledge of EU energy regulation. We bridge the regulatory gap between Brazilian producers and German certification bodies.

04

Consortium Building

Partnership Orchestration

We aggregate Brazilian SMEs in renewable energy and connect them with German technology partners, institutional investors, and GIZ/H2Uppp funding programs.

03 — How It Works

From Production Site
to European Market.

01

Site Assessment

HidroVerde engineers conduct an on-site audit of the H₂ production facility in Brazil, mapping energy inputs, electrolysis capacity, and existing data infrastructure.

02

Hardware Deployment

Installation of IoT sensor arrays and data ingestion nodes at critical measurement points. All hardware is calibrated to EU metrological standards.

03

Platform Integration

Production data flows into the HidroVerde traceability platform, generating immutable records for each batch of hydrogen produced.

04

RFNBO Certification

Our team prepares and submits the complete certification dossier to accredited European bodies, ensuring full compliance with EU Delegated Regulation 2023/1184.

05

Market Access

Certified H₂ is now eligible for European offtake agreements. HidroVerde connects producers with German industrial buyers and facilitates contract negotiation.

04 — Market Context

The Opportunity Is
Structural and Urgent.

Germany's H₂ Import Target
70%

of Germany's 2030 hydrogen demand must be imported. Brazil is the primary sourcing candidate.

Brazil's Renewable Advantage

Institutional Credibility

We operate at the intersection of government, industry, and finance. Our work is designed to withstand regulatory scrutiny from both Brazilian and European authorities.

Consortium-First Approach

We do not compete with producers or technology providers. We aggregate and connect — building the consortia that unlock institutional funding and offtake agreements.

Execution Over Analysis

HidroVerde delivers infrastructure, not reports. Every engagement ends with a certified, market-ready H₂ project — not a deck.
